Thanksgiving Weekend

Wow!!! This Weekend was fun, interesting, exciting and non-stop!!!  Tim's family came down Wednesday afternoon for the thanksgiving weekend.  I had to work Wednesday night at the ornament store until 10:00 and when I got home Tim's sister Becky, husband and two boys were there and playing the Wii and that is where the fun started.  Thursday was of course Thanksgiving where we spent it with Tim's mother's side of the family, I actually went home early at about 9:00 PM to go home early because I was so tiered.  The next morning Tim made breakfast and we spent the whole day with his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.  That night we went to the ASU, UCLA football game where good old ASU won with no help from their offense!  It was an interesting game.  Saturday was the day we spent with Tim's Dad's side of the family, for the Gooch family Circus Reunion 2008.  We spent the whole day at the Fountain Hill's park where I was introduced to the Gooch side of the family whom I have mostly never met before.  Now, Sunday, we had to say goodbye, which was sad.  But the weekend was great, I am tiered, Tim is sore and tomorrow our old boring lives start again.

It's a Boy!!!

This last weekend Tim and I went up to Utah for a short trip.  Tim was invited by his sister    Becky and her husband to go to the Utah, BYU game.  He sat in the freezing cold for a few hours to watch the Utes kill the Cougars.  His whole family are Utah fanatics, and needless to say everybody was excited that the Utes won!  While all that excitement was going on, I got to go see Twilight!  Yes I skipped watching the football game to see the dramatic love story of Bella and Edward, and it was worth it!!  Twilight was wonderful, it did not follow the book exactly but it was close enough, and I thought it was good enough where I would definitely pay another 10 dollars to go see it again!  But the exciting night did not stop there, after my movie and Tim's football game we all met up and went to Becky's work.  Does not sound to exciting, but she actually works at Fetal Fotos, a place where ultrasounds are done.  Becky brought me in and preformed my 17 week ultrasound where Tim and I found out we are having a boy!  Tim was about to faint before we started the ultrasound because he wanted a boy so bad, but he thought that we were going to get a girl.  That is my one disappointment from the whole experience, not being able to see Tim's face when she said we will be having a girl, because that would have been hilarious.  But actually we were both secretly hoping for a boy, so we both got what we wanted.  Tim actually receives the funniest quote of dads, when we first saw our little mans package, Tim shouted out "I have never been so excited to see another wiener in my life!!"  The rest of the weekend we got to hang out with family and friends and had a wonderful time.  We got there on Saturday morning and left Sunday night so it was a short weekend, but action packed and very exciting!

1st Blog

For Christmas Tim and I decided to get a computer (laptop) so now I can sit in front of the tv and blog.  It is pretty exciting.  I have wanted to start a blog for a while now (I actually set this site up in 2007), but I hate sitting up in our spare room where it is hot and messy just to mess around with a blog.  Now that I have a new laptop I can multitask a blog while watching TV and spend quality couch time with my husband.   I am also learning how to use this laptop.  I have never used a mac before and I am realizing that I do not enjoy relearning how to work a computer.  I know how old people feel trying to learn a computer for the first time, it can be overwhelming and frustrating.  And it is definitely not as easy as some people make it seem.  One thing I know for a fact, I cannot stand that a mac does not have a delete button that deletes forward instead of backwards.  It is making me crazy!!!!!!!
